1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the Service:

  • Account information: your name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), and organisation name, if provided.
  • Uploaded pitch decks: the PDF files you submit for analysis, and metadata about them (original filename, file size, and a cryptographic content hash used to detect duplicates).
  • Analysis results: the scores, dimension breakdowns, summaries, page notes, improvement suggestions, and investor-view outputs generated for your decks.
  • Usage and technical data: basic session information needed to keep you logged in and to operate the platform.

We do not collect or store payment card numbers, bank details, or any other financial instrument information (see Section 6).

2. How We Handle Uploaded Decks

Your uploaded PDF file is not stored as a file on our servers. When you upload a deck, it is read from the temporary upload, securely transmitted to our AI provider for analysis, and the temporary file is then discarded. We retain only the deck's metadata (filename, size, content hash) and the analysis results, linked to your account.

The content hash is a one-way fingerprint that lets us recognise if you upload the exact same file again (so founders are not charged twice for an identical deck). It cannot be used to reconstruct the contents of your deck.

3. How We Use Information

We use your information only to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service and deliver your analyses;
  • Authenticate you and secure your account;
  • Process credit purchases through our payment gateway;
  • Respond to your support and grievance requests;
  • Detect duplicate uploads and prevent misuse or fraud;
  • Comply with legal obligations;
  • With your consent, improve user experience and conduct marketing as described in Section 7.

4. AI Processing

To generate your analysis, the contents of your uploaded deck are transmitted to a third-party AI provider that powers our scoring engine. This transmission is solely for the purpose of producing your analysis. We do not use your decks or personal data to train our own models, and we do not permit their use to train the AI provider's models for our account. Your decks are processed to return a result to you, and nothing more.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or your uploaded content to any third party. Your decks and analyses are private to your account and are not shared with other users.

6. Payments

All payments are processed by Razorpay, our third-party payment gateway. When you make a purchase, your payment details are entered directly into Razorpay's secure systems. We never see, collect, or store your full card or bank details โ€” we only receive confirmation of whether a transaction succeeded and a reference identifier. Razorpay's handling of your data is governed by Razorpay's own privacy policy.

7. Cookies, Analytics & Marketing

We currently use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you logged in and to operate the platform. This cookie is essential and cannot be disabled while using your account.

We intend to introduce additional tools to improve your experience and for marketing purposes, which may include Google Analytics, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, and related cookies and tracking technologies. When enabled, these tools may collect information such as pages visited, device and browser information, and interactions with our content, and may set cookies on your device. Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before deploying non-essential cookies, and you will be able to manage your preferences. We will update this Policy to reflect such tools when they go live.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS), hashed password storage, restricted database access, and secure handling of uploads as described in Section 2. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

9. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account information and analysis results for as long as your account remains active, so that your analysis history stays available to you. If you delete your account, we will remove your associated personal data and analysis records, subject to any data we are required to retain to comply with legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations. As noted, uploaded PDF files are not retained as files at any point. To request account deletion, contact us at legal@pitchdeckanalytics.com.

10. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, including the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request erasure of your personal data;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • Raise a grievance regarding the handling of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at legal@pitchdeckanalytics.com or the Grievance Officer below. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.

11. When We Share Information

We share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: our AI analysis provider and payment gateway (Razorpay), strictly to deliver the Service;
  • Analytics/marketing tools: as and when enabled, with your consent where required (Section 7);
  • Legal compliance: where required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

We do not otherwise disclose your information to third parties.

12. Children

The Service is intended only for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
